How to Generate Schema Markup for a Page

Schema Markup Generator: before and after TEXT A YOUR INPUT SCHEMA MARKUPGENERATOR DONE A RESULT

Schema markup is a short block of structured data that tells search engines exactly what a page is about: an article with an author and a date, a product with a price, a shop with an address and opening hours. It can make a page eligible for richer search results.

Choose the kind of page, fill in the fields that apply, and this generator writes valid JSON-LD using the schema.org vocabulary. Fields you leave empty are simply left out, so the code stays tidy.

Steps to Create JSON-LD

  1. 1. Pick the page type

Choose Article, Product, LocalBusiness, Organization, Person or Event. The form changes to show the fields for that type.

  2. 2. Fill in the fields

Type the details you have, such as a headline and author, or a business name, phone number and street address. Dates use a date picker.

  3. 3. Check the JSON-LD

The code appears below the form and updates with every keystroke. Empty fields do not appear in it.

  4. 4. Paste it into your page

Copy the code and place it inside a script tag with type application/ld+json, in the head or body of the page.

What Is Schema Markup?

Schema markup is structured data written with the shared vocabulary published at schema.org, which Google, Bing and other search engines all read. JSON-LD is the format Google recommends: a separate block of code that describes the page without changing anything visitors see.

Adding it does not guarantee stars, prices or other extras in the results. It tells search engines what they are looking at, and they decide whether the page qualifies.

Why Use SEO Tools Before Publishing?

Search engines read titles, descriptions, headings and structured data before they ever show a page to anyone. Checking and generating these from your own markup catches problems before a page goes live.

“Small fixes in the page head decide how you look in search.”
  • Titles that fit the results page
  • Schema markup without hand-coding
  • Share previews that look right
  • Campaign links tracked with UTM
  • Descriptions within length
  • Robots and sitemaps checked
  • Keywords counted, not guessed
  • Headings in a logical order

Popular Uses for Search Optimization Tools

Site owners use these while writing, launching and fixing pages.

  • Search snippet preview See how a title and description will look in Google before publishing.
  • Rich results Generate FAQ, product or recipe schema in JSON-LD for a page.
  • Robots.txt rules Write and test robots.txt so crawlers skip only the pages you intend.
  • XML sitemaps Build or validate an XML sitemap listing the pages you want found.
  • Social sharing Make Open Graph and Twitter Card tags so links show a proper preview.
  • Keyword checks Count how often a keyword appears so a page does not overuse it.
  • Campaign tracking Add UTM tags to links in emails and ads to see what brings visitors.
  • Heading structure Check that a page has one H1 and a sensible order of subheadings.

What the Schema Generator Covers

Six common page types

Articles, products, local businesses, organisations, people and events cover most small sites and blogs.

Nested address and author

A business address becomes a proper PostalAddress block and an article author becomes a Person, as the vocabulary expects.

Product offers built in

Enter a price and a currency code and an Offer block is added, marked as in stock.

No empty properties

Blank fields are dropped rather than written as empty strings, which keeps validators quiet.

Tips for Structured Data That Works

  1. Only mark up what is visible on the page. A price or a review in the code that readers cannot see can earn a manual penalty.

  2. Type your currency as a three-letter code such as INR, GBP or EUR. If the box is left empty, the code falls back to USD.

  3. The Offer is always marked InStock. Change that line to OutOfStock by hand if the product is unavailable.

  4. Paste the finished page into Google's Rich Results Test before publishing to see which enhancements it qualifies for.

  5. Keep article dates honest. Changing the published date without changing the content does not make a page look fresh.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about this tool.

Where do I put the JSON-LD code?

Wrap it in a script tag with type set to application/ld+json and place it in the head or anywhere in the body. In WordPress you can use a header code plugin or a custom HTML block. It does not change how the page looks.

Will schema markup improve my Google ranking?

Not directly. It helps search engines understand the page and can qualify it for rich results like product prices or event dates, which may earn more clicks. Rankings still depend on the content itself.

Which schema type should a local shop use?

LocalBusiness. Fill in the name, phone, website, street, city, postcode, country and opening hours, written like Mo-Fr 09:00-17:00. That is the information Google shows for a business in local results.

Can one page carry several schema blocks?

Yes. A page can carry several JSON-LD blocks, for example an Organization block site-wide and an Article block on each post. Generate each one here and paste them in separate script tags.

Is my business information sent to a server?

No. The JSON-LD is assembled in your browser from what you type, and it stays there until you copy it.

Will these tools guarantee better rankings?

No tool can promise that. These checks fix technical problems that hold a page back, such as missing titles or broken schema. Rankings still depend mostly on useful content and links from other sites.

Is Schema Markup Generator free with no limits?

Yes. Run as many checks as you want, without an account or a paid plan. There is no premium version of this tool held back behind an upgrade.

How long should a title and meta description be?

Aim for a title of about 50 to 60 characters and a description of about 150 to 160, so neither is cut off. Google measures in pixels, so the snippet preview is the surest guide.

Does Google use my structured data?

Valid schema makes a page eligible for rich results such as FAQs, recipes or product stars, but Google decides when to show them. Test the markup, then give it time to be crawled.

Does Schema Markup Generator keep a copy of my pages or keywords?

No. The checks run in your browser, and nothing you paste is saved or shared. Unpublished pages and keyword plans stay private until you are ready.
