Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about this tool.

What is the difference between total growth and CAGR?

Total growth is the whole change between two figures; CAGR is the constant annual rate that would produce it. Revenue rising from ₹1 crore to ₹2 crore over four years is 100% total growth but a 18.9% CAGR. Quote total growth to look impressive and CAGR to be understood — the second is what an investor will calculate anyway.

How do I calculate incremental revenue?

Subtract the earlier period from the later one; the calculator shows it alongside the percentage. The absolute figure matters as much as the rate — 300% growth on a small base can be less incremental revenue than 8% on a large one, and comparing percentages alone hides that completely.

What happens if the starting figure is zero or negative?

Percentage growth from zero is mathematically undefined, and from a negative starting figure it is misleading rather than merely awkward — a loss narrowing from -100 to -50 is not "50% growth". In both cases quote the absolute change instead, which is the honest number.

How accurate is Revenue Growth Calculator?

It uses the standard formula for the calculation, so the maths is exact for the numbers you enter. For loans, tax and investments, treat the answer as a close estimate and confirm the final figure with your bank or adviser.

Does Revenue Growth Calculator save the numbers I enter?

No. Your figures are worked out in the browser and are not sent to any server or stored in an account. Salary, loan and health details stay on your device.

Are the income tax calculators up to date?

They are built on the slabs published by the Income Tax Department for the year shown on each page. Rules change with each Budget, so confirm the figures on the official portal before you file.

Can I rely on these calculators for health decisions?

They are good for a quick check, such as BMI or daily calories. They are not a medical diagnosis, so talk to a doctor before changing medicine, diet or treatment based on a result.

Do I need to install an app?

No. Every calculator runs in the browser on your phone or computer, with no download and no sign-up. Bookmark the page if you use it often.
