How to Use the Text Fixer Online
Paste or drop a list and shape it in one go. Split on new lines, commas, tabs or a separator you type; trim, drop empties and dedupe; keep or remove lines containing a word or pattern; delete before or after a marker; find and replace; add text to the start or end of each line. Then sort, change case and output as plain lines, a quoted list, JSON array, SQL IN list or bullets.
Trims, deduplicates, sorts, prepends, appends and replaces, in one pass over the same text. Useful because line cleanup is rarely one operation: a list pasted out of an email typically needs trimming and deduplicating and sorting before it is usable anywhere.

What You Can Do with the Text Fixer
Accepts TXT, CSV
Understands TXT structure rather than treating the file as bytes
Infers column types from the data instead of treating every field as a string
Escapes and quotes correctly, so a value containing the delimiter does not break the output

Tips and Good to Know
-
Because deduplication runs before find-and-replace, two lines that become identical after a replacement are both kept. Send the output back as input and run again.
-
It works line by line. Replacing across line breaks is not possible; use the remove-line-breaks tool first.
-
Regex mode applies to find, keep and remove at once. A stray bracket in one of them halts the whole pass with an error message.
Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to common questions about this tool.
What order do the operations run in?
Trim first, then deduplicate, then sort, then prepend and append. That order matters: deduplicating before trimming leaves entries that differ only by trailing whitespace as separate, which is the usual reason a list still has duplicates after being deduplicated.
Is the deduplication case-sensitive?
By default yes, so Apple and apple are treated as different. Whether that is right depends entirely on your data — for a list of names it usually is not, and for a list of identifiers it usually is.
Is my text sent anywhere when I use Text Fixer?
No. The text you paste is handled in your browser and never leaves the page. That makes it safe for drafts, customer lists and anything else you would rather keep to yourself.
Is there a limit on how much text I can paste?
The site sets none. Long documents are handled by your own device, so a whole book may be slow on an older phone. Articles, essays and long lists are no trouble.
Can I use Text Fixer without making an account?
Yes. There is no login, no email to hand over and no daily limit. Open the page, paste or type, and copy or download the result when it is ready.
Why does my word count differ from Microsoft Word?
Programs treat hyphenated words, numbers and symbols a little differently. The gap is usually a few words in a long piece. If a teacher or portal sets a limit, stay a little under it to be safe.
Do the QR codes made here expire?
No. The information is stored directly in the pattern, with no redirect through our servers, so the code keeps working for as long as the link or text inside it stays valid.
