How to Use the SSC Signature Resize Online
For SSC CGL and CHSL 2026 you upload only one image: your signature, as a JPG between 10 KB and 20 KB, about 6 cm wide and 2 cm high. The photo is no longer uploaded. The form takes it live with your webcam or phone. Sign on white paper, photograph it, and this page crops it to the 3 : 1 shape and fits it inside 10–20 KB.
Prepares the one image SSC still asks you to upload, the signature, at 10 to 20 KB in a 6 × 2 cm shape. In its 2026 notices SSC captures the photograph live inside the form, so a resized photo is not needed.

Old guides still say 4 × 2 cm and 140 × 60 px. Those are out of date for 2026.
-
For the live photo: plain background, camera at eye level, no cap, mask or spectacles. Pointing the camera at an old photo gets the form rejected.
-
A blurred or very small signature is rejected. Sign large, in dark ink, and fill the frame.
Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to common questions about this tool.
Do I need to upload a photo for SSC CGL 2026?
No. The 2026 notices say the candidate does not need an existing photograph; the photo is captured live during the application. Only the signature is uploaded.
What is the SSC signature size?
JPG or JPEG, 10 KB to 20 KB, about 6.0 cm wide and 2.0 cm high (paras 9.4–9.6 of the CGL 2026 notice).
Does this work for SSC MTS and GD?
Their notices usually repeat the same wording, but only CGL and CHSL were checked for this page. Look at your own notice and change the numbers here if they differ.
Does SSC Signature Resize reduce my photo’s quality?
Converting and cropping keep quality close to the original. Compressing trades a little detail for a much smaller file, and a lighter setting keeps more of it. Compare the preview with your original before saving.
Will my photo be accepted by the exam form?
The exam photo tools follow the size, dimensions and file weight given in the official notice. Always read the latest notice too, because boards sometimes change their rules between years.
Can I edit pictures with SSC Signature Resize straight from my gallery?
Yes. Pick a photo from your gallery or take one with the camera, then save the result back to your phone. Everything works in the browser, so there is no app to install.
Is SSC Signature Resize free with no watermark?
Yes. Use it for as many pictures as you need without an account, and each image comes back without any logo or mark from the site.
